Sandhurst Group Practice is a ten partner practice working from 2 purpose built surgeries, Owlsmoor, completed in 1983 and Sandhurst, completed in 1999. We are linked with computers by a land line. There are 10 partners and one assistant. We have been a training practice since 1976. There are 3 trainers, Roger Halliwell (trainer since1992) and Colleen Pidgeon (trainer since 2001) at Sandhurst; and Anita Vakil (trainer since 2004) at Owlsmoor.
Owlsmoor has 5 doctors on site a full compliment of nurses and other staff, including district nurses and health visitors on site. We have a chiropodist, speech therapy, private physio, and availability of GPSI ENT services at Sandhurst site. The surgery is fully computerised and uses EMIS.
We have a list size of 1900+, and are mainly serving young/middle aged population. We have some nursing and residential homes allocated per GP and also have a GP input into a private psychiatric hospital. Our local District General Hospital is Frimley Park.
The registrar has their own room and has support from all the members of the team at both surgeries.
